Brooke and Preston – The Wedding

I knew I was going to really love working with Brooke and Preston from the moment I met with them. After we shot their engagement session, I couldn’t wait for their wedding as it was sure to be a beautiful event followed by one hell of a party. And one hell of a party it was! I can’t even begin to describe how gorgeous Brooke looked. She was truly amazing, and I think Preston would agree These two are just so in love, and really made their entire day a true celebration of that love. With a beautiful ceremony and a packed dance floor all night, their big day was amazing to be a part of!

Kasey and Brian – The Wedding

Kasey and Brian are just good people. They really love each other, and this was evident through their entire wedding day. From the moment I arrived that day, I could tell it was going to be one of those days that was full of emotion, and I wasn’t wrong. These two were just happy…happy about getting married, happy with their blended family, happy with starting their forever together and it was so great to watch. I think it’s also worth mentioning that both Kasey and Brian looked AAAAAMAZING on their wedding day! They both worked their butts off, and lost a combined 90+ pounds for their big day! Are you kidding me?!

They decided they wanted to do a first look before the ceremony, and I was excited! I always love it when couples carve out time to just be by themselves…well, by themselves with my camera all up in their faces

Notice anything different here?!? Since they were planning on doing the first look, Kasey decided to surprise Brian with a SECOND dress for the ceremony. She looked amazing

This is my new friend Dobby. He is Kasey and Brian’s dog, and he was one stinkin cute ring bearer

Emma – The Graduate

I love shooting senior sessions. I don’t get the opportunity to shoot them nearly as often as I’d like to, but when I do, I always enjoy them. Especially when my senior is as gorgeous, smart, and fun as Emma! Emma is the sister of one of my previous brides (Hi Kari!!!), and I was so happy when their mom contacted me to shoot some portraits of Emma. This is such a wonderful family, and any time I get to spend with them is great with me I was even more excited when I found out after graduation, Emma will be headed to good ole Lubbock, Texas to become a Red Raider! Very good choice, my dear She’s so stinkin’ fabulous, I chose a ton of images to post, so enjoy my favorites of the gorgeous Emma!

Audrey and Joel – The Wedding

Audrey and Joel had such a gorgeous wedding day! The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony, Audrey looked simply stunning, and I loved the colors she chose for her big day (a combo of different color purples…gorge!). These two had both their ceremony and reception at the lovely Agave Road, and everything about it was perfect! Their families were laughing and smiling, Audrey and Joel could not have seemed happier, and the party they threw for their reception was a blast too.

Aubrey and Joel decided to do a First Look and I was so excited! The lighting just before the ceremony was perfect for getting some amazing photos!

One of the coolest parts of the evening was when Audrey’s family started dancing! They are Assyrian and were doing some awesome dances!!

Brooke – The Bride

Brooke and Preston were married this past Saturday, and all I can say is OMG! Brooke looked incredible, and the party they threw to celebrate their big day was out of control in the best possible way Several weeks ago I met Brooke at Briscoe Manor (where they got married) and we took a few pictures of her looking fabulous! I can’t wait to post their wedding images, but until then, enjoy the fabulous Brooke!

Kristen and Alan – The Engagement

These two are just too much fun! I met Kristen and Alan just a few short weeks ago, and their wedding is right around the corner! After getting engaged over the holidays, the decided they didn’t want to plan a wedding for a year, so instead they planned it in just 3 months! Yes, three!! They’ve been so much fun to work with, I’m actually a little sad I only get to spend the next couple of weeks with them Their big day is at the end of this month, but for now enjoy a few of their fun engagement sesh

So there was a chicken coop where we were shooting, and Kristen suggested we take a few by the coop…I was all for it! However, the chickens are apparently really accustomed to people, so they just walked right up to us and I couldn’t help but laugh while I shot this. Too funny!

Kasey – The Bride

The wedding was at the fab Briscoe Manor, so we decided it would be perfectly appropriate to take her bridals there too! Emme Kate – The Newborn Beauty

Oh how I could squeeze this tiny baby girl!! A few months ago I posted Katie and Matt and their growing belly. Finally their mini is here and IT”S A GIRL!! They waited to find out the gender of their little bundle until she was born, and my goodness is she cute as can be! They named her Emme Kate, and not too long after she was born, I went over to meet this precious girl and take her very first photos! Here she is in all her sweet newborn baby glory, Miss Emme Kate!

My Little Girl

It think I’ve officially gone crazy. As in, lost it, gone off the reservation, have a couple screws loose crazy. Those of you that have been following this blog know I have two happy, healthy baby boys (albeit canine baby boys) that I love and adore. Well, things have changed. I now have THREE, yes that’s right three happy, healthy canines I love and adore. Yep, officially off my rocker.

I’d like to introduce you to my little girl, Mille. I found her on New Year’s Eve and took her home with me because she looked…well, she looked like this:

I can’t remember the last time I saw a dog so emaciated, and I just couldn’t leave her scared, alone, and literally starving. So, without a second thought, I put her in my car and took her home. I had every intention of taking the best care of her I could, getting some meat on her bones, and finding her a very happy home with someone. I knew that couldn’t be me as I already had two dogs and certainly didn’t need or want another one. I mean, I was already outnumbered 2 to 1 by four legged creatures!! A few weeks went by and she was gaining weight rapidly (12 pounds in three weeks!), and I started to see life in this tiny dog who been so very mistreated in her short little life. I was still asking around to see if I could find her a home with someone that needed her. What I didn’t realize and refused to believe was that someone that needed her was me.

After about 4 weeks, I had a completely different dog than the one I brought home on New Year’s Eve. She was alert, she was happy, playful, spirited, and in love with my Sammy dog. They were, and still are, two peas in a pod. They follow each other around everywhere, play constantly, nap together, all of it. Seeing how happy Sam was to have someone he could bite on, run with, and wrestle with made me realize I just couldn’t give her away. So I didn’t! She has made herself a happy little home here with us, and I am now outnumbered 3 to 1 by hounds. I’m totally crazy.

Millie has the craziest under bite I’ve ever seen. Her bottom teeth are never actually in her mouth, and it’s adorable. She loves (and I mean LOVES) to play with Sam, loves to sprint in circles at the park, loves to sleep in all of Jackson’s beds (he doesn’t love this much…), and is such a cuddler. She is also absolutely terrified of thunder and storms, is still dealing with a bit of separation anxiety (but we’re working on it!), and eats more than any dog I’ve ever owned! I am so happy to have this little girl as part of our world, even if that does make me the crazy dog lady. Here she is today, looking much happier and healthier than the two pictures above!

Laura and David – The Engagement

Meet Laura and David. These two are getting married this summer, but wanted to get some amazing engagement photos before the weather here got unbearably hot. I met up with these two love birds in Hermann Park a few weeks ago, and I love what we came away with. David has the ability to make Laura laugh like no one else. As I was going through the images from their session, this is so evident throughout. You can just see how much they love each other, how much they enjoy being with each other (especially since David is stationed out of state right now), and just how much they laugh together. I can’t wait for their wedding in July, but for now here is a bunch of my faves from our time together.

David is in the military and chose to wear his uniform for the first part of our session. Loved it!

This one might just be my favorite. Could they be any cuter?!
